Healthcare is supposed to be about helping people. Treating patients, solving problems, changing lives, witnessing the hope and joy of success. So why does it seem like most of the job is navigating bureaucracies and complying with rules to please the big healthcare systems and insurance companies?
Breaking away from the system and striking out on your own is often the only way to accomplish what you set out to do in grad school. You quickly learn, though, that owning a business comes with its own set of problems. You’re successful because you’re great at treating patients, and took the time to learn it, but your degree didn’t come with an MBA.
Like you, I faced that same dilemma. Like you, joined a couple of those coaching groups offering a neatly-package business model that promises to solve everything for you and rarely delivers. I even worked for one of them as a mindset coach. Like you, I didn’t see the results I was looking for.
The group model showed me that these business owners needed MORE. You don’t need to try to squeeze into someone else’s model while getting generic advice from a big group. That’s just more bureaucratic rules and stress.
You need someone who helps you create the lifestyle you want. You need someone to teach you the skills you never learned, so you can stop stressing over your problems and focus on solving problems for others in the way you know best. That’s what entrepreneurship is supposed to be.
That’s why I started the Business Therapy Program. Born out of my experiences and frustration in healthcare, leadership, traditional therapy and small business coaching, it’s designed to:
Diagnose your stress drivers:
Determine the mindset, organizational, communication, or other deficiencies that are causing you to waste time and lose sleep
Develop your skills:
Provide the foundational skills you need to learn in order to solve your immediate problems and also inoculate yourself against future problems as your business grows
Maintain your success:
Give you the time and support you need to implement changes that will allow you to graduate the program and operate independently with confidence
Stimulate your growth:
Take your business to new heights by using your successes to continue learning, refining, and improving at a higher and higher rate

“Lauren's program is unlike the other business coaching I've tried. She makes me feel heard instead of lost among a group. She's also very knowledgeable without being intimidating. If you're on the fence about starting with Lauren, this is your sign to DM her! I'm so glad I did. 100% worth it!”
HoldFast Perform Well Courtney De’Sorbo - ATC
"Lauren’s helped me get a better grasp on my own "why." Not just why I started this business, but also why I want to continue to grow it. She’s also helped me solve many problems that I thought had no solution... I'm feeling really optimistic about our future.”
- Dina Lucchesi - Core PTP
“Working with Lauren has been enlightening. She has not only helped me understand and prioritize my thoughts but comprehend why I think them in the first place. Her insightfulness and expertise are paramount to any entrepreneur looking to grow their business and leadership. I am a better person, spouse, and leader because of the work we have done together.”
Christa D'Egidio, DPT
I’ve been there. Starting a sports psychology practice, working my ass off, struggling to grow, never really knowing where I needed to go or how to get there. I was a psychology expert, not an MBA. But I had trained leaders in the military, executive suites, and small business, so I’d thought it would be easy. I was wrong.
To turn things around, I did what any healthcare entrepreneur would do: I signed up for a coaching program. You know the type. They sell you with a sweet promise of a guaranteed business model, all you have to do is exactly what they did. Sounded perfect. I bought the hype.
Then I started. Wasn’t long before I realized it was total crap. I’d studied management, taught leadership, and been part of enough good and bad companies to know that much of what they taught was wrong. They were trying to apply their own rigid business model to every different situation instead of working with each entrepreneur on what they needed to succeed. That’s why it wasn’t working for me or many others in my group, and I told them so.
To their credit, they acknowledged the problem and asked me to help them fix it. I started coaching entrepreneurs in their group, but it still wasn’t right. My members kept coming to me for more. The group setting was fine, but there wasn’t enough time or attention available to make a true difference. They needed more. They needed one-on-one coaching that wasn’t focused on some scalable, sellable product.
The realization changed everything, for both me and my clients. I quit. From that point on, my business stopped trying to replicate someone else’s business and started using my unique skills and experience in the way that worked best for me and could do the most good for my clients. I taught my clients to do the same, using proven principles and methods to give them the skills, coaching, and accountability needed to overcome their personal challenges and create a business that works uniquely for them.
After years of wandering, I found my purpose and passion. My business took off. If you’re still searching, don’t worry, you can find yours. I can’t tell you exactly where you’ll end up, but I can help you get there.
